Kyruus Reports Landmark Year, Cementing Position as a Foundational Digital Health Platform
Leading Healthcare SaaS Company Continues Rapid Growth Fueled by Expansion into New Markets
BOSTON, Mass. – Jan. 9, 2023 – Kyruus, the leader in healthcare provider data management, price transparency, patient access and engagement, today announced results from a banner year in 2022, marked by significant core business growth, expansion into the medical group market through the acquisition of Epion Health, and a growing digital health partner ecosystem. Kyruus now serves more than 100 health systems, 500 independent medical groups, and 100 health plan brands, while partnering with more than 20 digital health companies focused on optimizing care navigation.
In 2022, Kyruus welcomed nearly 30 new health system customers—including its 100th health system customer—and now serves nearly 350,000 providers across leading health systems, hospitals, and medical groups. Amid the challenging economic climate, organizations like Ochsner Health selected Kyruus as a partner to reduce the administrative burden of provider data management. SCL Health (now Intermountain Healthcare) leveraged the award-winning ProviderMatch search and scheduling solution to drive a 20% increase in online appointment volume. Further, with the acquisition of Epion Health, Kyruus now provides a comprehensive search, scheduling, and digital patient intake offering, supporting healthcare organizations and medical groups in meeting growing consumer demand for self-service while simultaneously saving time and resources.
The company’s health plan business, HealthSparq, continued to expand its base of payer, third-party administrator (TPA), and digital health clients, bringing the total number of members served to nearly 100 million. Through its industry-leading price transparency and provider search solutions, HealthSparq has been instrumental in helping plans address federal price transparency mandates, from requirements for public access and negotiated rate data, to member-facing out-of-pocket costs and assisting people in planning for the cost of care. Members can now compare costs for 500 medical services, including complex episodes of care, and get the information they need to make more informed, cost-effective choices.
To extend its impact and connect more people to the right care, Kyruus has cultivated a rich network of digital health partners and integrations, including Hyro, WellHive, and leading EHR and CRM vendors, offering an array of complementary products and services to support patient access, engagement, and care navigation. Today, customers leverage Kyruus’ growing partner ecosystem to boost patient acquisition through their own digital properties and convert novel demand from key third-party channels where consumers frequently search for care, such as search engines and health plan directories.
Kyruus also expanded its senior leadership team in 2022 to provide expert guidance as the organization further evolves and grows. They welcomed healthcare IT and services industry leader Paul Merrild as the company’s first president, to focus on scaling core business operations, and Gail Airasian as General Manager of Emerging Markets, to lead business development, mergers and acquisitions, and expansion into new markets. Kyruus also recruited Paige Cox Lisk to serve as its new Chief People Officer and oversee organizational evolution as the company continues to grow.
“Every day, we renew our mission of connecting people to the right care by addressing the top challenges they face when navigating the healthcare system,” said Graham Gardner, MD, Kyruus CEO and Co-founder. “That work is increasingly defined by our ability to democratize access to provider information and scheduling across the healthcare ecosystem so every healthcare organization can efficiently match their members and patients to the right care. I’m excited that our momentum over the last year, combined with our compound annual growth rate of more than 50% over the past five years, allows us to continue contributing toward a better healthcare ecosystem: one that is more transparent and accessible, allowing people to get the care they need, when and where they need it.”
