Ramesh Subramani, Vice President, joined New Leaf Venture Partners in 2008. Prior to joining
New Leaf, Ramesh worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in the Private Equity and Pharmaceutical practices. He focused on transactions and business strategy in biopharmaceutics, medical devices, and health services. Prior to McKinsey, Ramesh was an Assistant Professor & Director of International Health in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Northwestern University where he led infectious disease training. Ramesh also co-founded CompareHealth.com, an on-line health benefits broker. Ramesh completed residency training at the University of Chicago and has an M.D. from Northwestern University. He also holds an
M.B.A. and M.P.H. from the University of Illinois where he specialized in Entrepreneurship and Health Policy, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in
Bioengineering from the University of Illinois. Ramesh is certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
