Sean Wuxiong Cao is an Associate at New Leaf. Prior to
joining New Leaf in August 2008, Sean spent four years as
Manager of Product Development at Johnson & Johnson –
Veridex where he focused on oncology diagnostics. From 2001
to 2005, Sean was a Senior Research Investigator for
Internal Medicine for Sanofi-aventis. Sean served as a
fellow at the Laboratory of Immunology at the National
Institute Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the NIH, and
the Beirne Carter Center of Immunology at the University of
Virginia. In addition, he has published multiple articles in
the fields of immunology, cancer research and gene
discovery. Sean earned a B.S. in Biology from Nankai
University in Tianjin, China, a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular
Biology from the University of Virginia. Sean is currently
nearing the completion of an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton
School of the University of Pennsylvania.
